One of the 17 concrete structures designed by the great Herbert Simms lining the Bull wall and Clontarf Promenade. Simms was the Chief Housing Architect to Dublin City Council from 1932-48 and was responsible for the design and construction of an incredible 17,000 new dwellings, in Dublin city center and suburbs, in response to the chronic housing shortage of the time.
